[AUG. 14, 2006]  The Logan County Genealogical and Historical Society will meet Aug. 21 at 6:30 p.m. at 114 N. Chicago St. in Lincoln. The program, "Americanism and the American Flag," will be presented by Robert Sullivan and Wayne Schrader. The public is invited.
The society is featuring Logan County townships in the Roots and Branches quarterly. Anyone may submit pictures, information about prominent people, locations and facts about any Logan County township. Community participation would be greatly appreciated. Chester and Aetna townships will be featured in the fall quarterly, and information is needed by Aug. 25. Prairie Creek and Orvil townships will be featured in the winter quarterly, and that information is needed by Nov. 15.
