			  The Pride & Progress Awards are sponsored by the chamber's 
			executive committee. This campaign is designed to recognize 
			outstanding achievement and promote positive awareness. The Pride & 
			Progress Awards celebrate and acknowledge excellence, innovation, 
			initiative, community involvement and are a thank-you to those who 
			go the extra mile to make Logan County a great place to live, work 
			and play.  
			Awards will be presented during the chamber's annual dinner Jan. 
			29 at the Elks Lodge. 
			Awards are being given out for: 
			
				- 
				
Business of the Year -- a business that contributes to the 
			community, shows innovation and actively participates in events and 
			projects within the community.  
				- 
				
New Business of the Year -- a business that has opened in the 
			last 12 months and brings something new to our community, 
			complementing and contributing to the growth of Logan County. 
				 
				- 
				
Mike Abbott Volunteer of the Year -- given to a person who is 
			involved, committed, goes the extra mile, and is dedicated and 
			selfless for the betterment of our community.  
			 
			
			
			  
			
				- 
				
Beautification Award -- given to a business that enhances, 
			improves and transforms its corner of the community into a more 
			attractive place.  
				- 
				
Excellence in Service -- given to a business that demonstrates a 
			commitment to the community, its customers and its employees, giving 
			100 percent always.  
				- 
				
Ambassador of the Year -- a new award given to a chamber 
			ambassador who attends ribbon-cuts, Business After Hours and other 
			chamber events, encourages chamber membership, and is an overall 
			ambassador and steward of Logan County.  
				- 
				
Students' Choice Award -- a new award voted on every month, with 
			the "This Place Rocks" trophy awarded to the monthly winner. The 
			winner of this award will have received the most votes in the year 
			2010.  
			 
			To be eligible to receive one of the above awards, businesses or 
			individuals must be members in good standing with the Lincoln/Logan 
			County Chamber of Commerce.

			 The community is invited and encouraged to make nominations for 
			these awards, except for the two new awards: Ambassador of the Year, 
			which is determined by attendance at events and stewardship to the 
			chamber and Logan County, and the Student's Choice Award, which is 
			determined by votes accumulated throughout the year.

			The annual dinner and the Pride & Progress Awards are part of the 
			chamber's mission to advocate for business by providing leadership, 
			programs and services that create, protect and enhance the business 
			environment for the benefit of chamber members and Lincoln and Logan 
			County.
