This was the first time the
Central Illinois Foodbank's Mobile Food Pantry came to Lincoln, and even the
veteran CIF volunteers were taken aback by the crowd. With a
28-foot truck coming in filled with food, the line for the 6 p.m. start began
forming at 4:30. By the time the food line was ready to go, over 350
people were there waiting a turn to choose food items for their
			families.
In all, 10,000 pounds of food
was given out, with 258 families signing up for the free food.
And within an hour and a half,
every item brought in had made its way into the homes of Logan
			County residents.
			The sign-up sheets showed that
the foods went to homes totaling 926 people.
