Department of Elementary and Secondary Education spokeswoman Sarah Potter says none of the students has life-threatening injuries. But she says some may have broken bones or missing teeth. Police say the crash happened around 1:30 p.m. Friday near Danville as the bus was exiting Interstate 70.
Potter says 16 to 20 children were being taken to a Columbia hospital. University Hospital spokeswoman Mary Jenkins says at least eight children have been admitted into the emergency room, none with life-threatening injuries. She's expecting 19 patients.
Potter says the students were from the Missouri School for the Deaf in Fulton.
