[August 02, 2013]      Send a link to a friend A new event this year at the
4-H scrambles was a real crowd-pleaser. Local personalities turned out
to make the dash for a handful of chickens and one duck. Included in the group were Logan County Sheriff Steve Nichols along
with his deputy, members of the Lincoln Police Department, and
members of the Lincoln Rural Fire Protection District.
			 The highlight of the evening
was the struggle to grab the duck. When two scramblers landed
on the poor bird at once, the feathers flew, literally. The
struggle continued and who actually caught the duck was unclear. The duck's owner reported that
though he had his feathers "ruffled," the duck survived the attack
			undaunted.
