Lincoln's new city administrator, Sue McLaughlin,
attended her first city council meeting Monday. McLaughlin was hired two weeks
ago with a start date of Feb. 4. McLaughlin has been hired on a
temporary basis due to Illinois laws which state the city administrator
contract cannot exceed the term of the current sitting mayor. This
is an election year for the mayoral position, so McLaughlin's term will
end April 30, but can be reinstated effective May 1 at the discretion of
		the council.
