Lesko of the Illinois state treasurer's office (left) assists local
resident Dan Wheeler in checking the I-Cash website. This occurred
during a special meeting at Buff's Restaurant in Mount Pulaski on
Monday. Lesko was at the restaurant with Treasurer Dan Rutherford
at the invitation of the Mount Pulaski Rotary. To his surprise,
Wheeler found that he had unclaimed assets being held in the state's
		unclaimed property program.

Smithsonian's National Museum of American History in Washington.
The Library of Congress is announcing a plan for saving the
nation's history in recorded sound under a mandate from
Congress. The library already saves key audio selections each
year, but many other recordings are being lost due to a lack of
storage capacity, changing technology and disparate copyright
laws. Researchers say more than half of the oldest recordings,
including audio from George Gershwin, Frank Sinatra and Judy
				Garland, have already been lost.
