Saturday night at the Lincoln /Logan County
Chamber of Commerce annual dinner at the American Legion in Lincoln,
it appeared to be a gathering of the "who's who" of Lincoln and Logan
County. The full house of guests included dozens of local
business men and women, a number of past presidents of the chamber,
the chamber's new board and executive committee, representatives from
the city of Lincoln and the Logan County Board, and many more.
The evening began with a social hour sponsored
by CEFCU, then went into a buffet dinner. Diners enjoyed live
music from the Lincoln College Jazz Band (pictured in our Community
section). After the meal the 2012 Pride and Progress Awards
were given out to a wide variety of Logan County businesses. Then, in
honor of the chamber's 100 years in Logan County, several past
presidents were brought to the stage and each took a few moments to
address the audience about their time served as president.
Also in attendance and addressing the
audience was Bobbie Abbott, the chamber's previous executive director, who
filled that position for several years. When Abbott resigned, she was replaced by the current
			executive director, Andi
Hake, who was the hostess for the Saturday night event.
