Illinois grain prices in country elevators

[January 30, 2013]  SPRINGFIELD -- This is Tuesday's report of the grain prices and trends, prepared by the USDA and the Illinois Department of Agriculture.

Illinois country grain prices were mixed on Tuesday afternoon, with soybeans and corn slightly higher and wheat slightly lower.

Uncertainty with the South American weather forecast was enough to push soybean futures higher.

In Northern and Western Illinois country grain dealers quoted shelled corn bids were mostly 1 cent higher at 7.18-7.37.

Soybean bids were 8 to 11 cents higher at 14.52-14.73.

In Central Illinois country grain dealers quoted shelled corn bids were 2 to 3 cents higher at 7.29-7.42.

Soybean bids were 5 cents higher at 14.59-
14.72.

In the Southern part of the state, shelled corn bids were mixed at 7.16-7.55.

Soybean bids were 1 to 3 cents higher at 14.69-14.96.

Wheat bids were 2 cents lower at 7.72-7.87.
