		Today
marks the last day of Steve Shanle's career at the United States Postal
		Service in Lincoln.

		Shanle has been with the
post office 39 years, and it is only the second job he's held in his
		lifetime.

		Today the postal union will
express their appreciation to Shanle with a cake. Later this
evening some of his co-workers will give him a private send-off at one
		of their favorite "watering holes."

In addition there is a large
retirement party being planned for Feb. 9.

Be sure to check out the
story below written by Shanle's co-worker and LDN regular contributor
		Teena Lowery.
