 In Game 1, Lincoln lost in a heartbreaker to Washington, the eventual champions, 
5-3. The Heat were led by Mason Farris, who went 3-3 with a double, one run scored 
and two RBIs, and by Trey Schilling and Bricen Gillum, who each had two hits and 
a run scored. Jaden Leadley and Darren Stevens had two hits as well.. In Game 2, the Heat played Tremont and the bats came alive. Lincoln won 
17-2. Every player on the team recorded a hit. Gillum had four hits 
and two 
runs scored; Schilling had three hits and three runs scored; Leadley had four hits, 
three runs 
batted in and three runs scored; Farris had three hits and seven runs batted in; Alex 
Schmidt had three hits and two RBIs; Dylan Ferguson had three hits; Chase McCormick, Luke 
Jones and Stevens had two hits each; and  Jude Toft, Ashton Koontz and Wyatt Mammen all had a hit 
each..  
 In Game 3, Lincoln played Olympia and won 8-4. Once again every player had 
a hit in the game.  Farris had three hits and three RBIs; Gillum had two hits and 
two 
runs scored; Schilling had two hits, two RBIs and a run scored; Leadley had two hits; 
Koontz had two hits and two runs scored; Schmidt, Toft and Jones each had two 
hits; Mammen and Stevens had a hit each; and Ferguson had two hits and two RBIs.

		 In Game 4, the third- and fourth-place game, Lincoln played Pekin and lost 15-6. Gillum, 
			Schilling and Leadley all went 3-3. Schilling had three runs scored 
			and two RBIs. Gillum scored two runs and Leadley one run. Farris had a hit 
			and two RBIs; Koontz had two hits; and Toft, Jones and Stevens had a hit 
			each. It was another great effort by the Lincoln Heat. Tournament notes:   
				
				Gillum had an 
				average of .769 with seven runs scored.
				Schilling had an 
				average of .769 with eight runs scored.
				Leadley had an 
				average of .846 with five RBIs and five runs scored 
				Farris had .an average of .846 and an amazing 14 
				RBIs in four tournament games.. The
			Lincoln Heat 8U are now 17-13 on the season and are back in action
