At 9 a.m., rain or shine, walkers and runners of all fitness
levels will take off for the 5K at Edward R. Madigan State Park. The
event route meanders through grassland and woodland. All are
encouraged to join friends and family and enjoy the fall scenery
while being active. Last year over 200 participants took part in the
event. "Our mission is to improve the health of the people and
communities we serve, and what better way than through exercise. I
hope that this event encourages people of all fitness levels to get
moving forward towards good health," said Todd Mourning, physical
therapist and manager of rehab services at ALMH. The event's "Stay Competitive" lead sponsor is Gehlbach Law.
Other sponsors are Blue Dog Inn, Clinical Radiologists, Eaton
Electrical, Illinois American Water, Nobbe Eye Care, Herrin
