If
you love to yard sale, this is definitely your weekend in Lincoln!
The Route 66 Garage Sale weekend started
yesterday and continues through tomorrow.
There are a huge number of sellers
this year, many offering their wares in their own garages or yards.  There
is also a flea market-style gathering at the VFW Freedom Hall on Fifth Street
and another flea market at The Mill, 738 S. Washington.
Garage sale maps are available at
Lincoln Printers, IGA, Mission Mart, 5th St. Food Mart, Casey's, Hallie's on
the square, Stuffed-Aria, Kroger, Domino's, Thorntons, Little Caesars and the VFW.

This
undated photo provided by permission of the Houghton Library at Harvard
University in Cambridge, Mass., shows one of two pages from the library's
archives (call number MS Am 1326) that Illinois State University math professors
Nerida Ellerton and Ken Clements on Friday confirmed as two new
pages to add to the math notebook believed to be the oldest surviving document
written by Abraham Lincoln. The pages are from the 1820s. Lincoln's stepmother
gave the notebook to Lincoln law partner William Herndon after the 16th
president's death.
