LDN - Top Stories

Friday evening Nicole Lee, one of the co-chairs of this year's Logan County Relay For Life event, stood on stage with her back to the audience while her co-chairs, Amy Weidhuner and Tabitha Weidhuner, cut off her ponytail. It was a meaningful and emotional event for the three young women as well as the audience. The ponytail will be donated to Locks of Love, an organization that provides wigs and hairpieces to children suffering from any disease that causes loss of hair.

Lindsey Sanders of Lincoln and Lyndi Leesman of Hartsburg will receive a total of $20,000 over four semesters with an agreement to work their first job out of college at Abraham Lincoln Memorial Hospital.
