The Lincoln Heat 8U won the
Lincoln tournament this past weekend by defeating Deer Creek-Mackinaw 7-6. The score was tied at 6, and in the bottom of
the sixth inning Lincoln scored a run when Bricen Gillum's
single scored Luke Jones from second base to win the title.
The Lincoln Heat 8U team is
made up of Bricen Gillum, Trey Schilling, Jaden Leadley, Mason
Farris, Alex Schmidt, Ryan O'Donoghue, Ashton Koontz, Jude
Toft, Cooper Atkins, Luke Jones, Dylan Ferguson, Darren Stevens,
Wyatt Mammen and Chase McCormick.
It was the first tournament
these young men have ever played in and the coaches couldn't be
prouder of them.
