                Illinois country grain prices were 
				mixed on Monday afternoon, with soybeans higher and corn and 
				wheat lower. 
				 
              
                A strong cash market helped 
				soybeans to finish higher. 
				 
              
                Monday's Crop Condition report 
				released by the National Ag Statistics Services, indicated 
				Illinois farmers had reached 96% complete with soybean planting, 
				compared to 90% last week. 
				 
              
                The condition of both corn and 
				soybean crops improved from last week. 
				 
              
                The state's corn crop placed 67% 
				in the good to excellent category, with the Illinois soybean 
				crop placing 69% in the good to excellent range.
 				In Northern and Western Illinois country grain dealers quoted 
				shelled corn bids were 8 to 9 cents lower at 6.81-6.97.  
              
                Soybean bids were 19 cents higher 
				at 15.10-15.28.
 				In Central Illinois country grain dealers quoted shelled corn 
				bids were 7 to 9 cents lower at 6.82-6.95.
				 				  
              
                Soybean bids were 17 to 18 cents 
				higher at 15.35-15.51.
 
 				In the Southern part of the state, shelled corn bids were 8 to 9 
				cents lower at 6.74-7.08.  
              
                Soybean bids were 18 to 19 cents 
				higher at 15.43-15.60. 
				 
              
                Wheat bids were 19 cents lower at 
				6.59-6.79.
