            The Lincoln/Logan County Chamber
of Commerce will host its annual Ag Scholarship Breakfast next week
in honor of National Ag Week. The scholarship recipients will be
announced during the 14th annual Logan County Ag Day Scholarship
Breakfast on Thursday at 7 at Lincoln Christian University's
			Laughlin Center. |

            | This is a free event to all Logan County residents and guests.
The purpose of the event is to cultivate future agricultural
leaders by awarding scholarships toward their education. This is
one of the top objectives of the chamber's ag committee. This
year the chamber plans to give away $14,000 in scholarships, the
most in the history of the event. The scholarship is designed
for students who have the intention to return to Logan County as
leaders in the ag field. In addition to awarding scholarships, there will be giveaways
and a guest speaker, Jean Payne of the Fertilizer Institute. She
will discuss productivity and environmental responsibility.

The ag scholarships are made possible due to generous
sponsorships from community businesses. Local businesses partner
together to support and sustain agriculture awareness in our
community. In the 14-year history of the Ag Day Scholarship
Breakfast, $91,000 in scholarships has been awarded to deserving
local students. The Ag Day Scholarship Breakfast is a great
networking opportunity for the ag and business community to come
				together.
