            |  Klemm introduced the guest speaker,  Jean Payne.
 |  Payne spoke about the watchful eye of the 
			government on the agricultural industry.

            |  She shared accounts of financial difficulties 
			the institute suffered under the Blagojevich administration and how 
			she and her board worked to separate their money from the 
			state.
 Also speaking was Dan Schaefer of the Illinois Council of Best 
			Management Practices.
 |  Hake offers a few closing words before the 
			morning ended. This year there were over 75 sponsors of the Ag 
			Scholarship program. Hake said this was the best year 
			thus far for raising money for the program, thus enabling the 
			committee to award 14 scholarships, the most ever.

			 Sponsors were all given metal art handmade by 
			Don Bode of Lincoln.
