| "Growing Up WILD: Exploring Nature with Young Children" is an
activity guide for early childhood educators of children ages 3 to
			7. It builds on children's sense of wonder about nature and invites
them to explore wildlife and the world around them. Through a wide
range of activities and experiences -- crafts, art projects, music,
conservation activities, reading and math connections, and more --
the program provides a foundation for developing positive
impressions about nature while also building lifelong social and
cognitive skills. This training also includes a special focus on
Illinois' state mammal, the white-tailed deer, and is sponsored in
			part by Whitetails Unlimited.

			 Growing Up
WILD is correlated with the National Association for the
Education of Young Children standards, Head Start domains and the
MyPlate food program. Three continuing professional development
			units are available.
