Thursday morning the Lincoln/Logan County Chamber of Commerce welcomed another new business to the community with a ribbon-cut. The chamber's executive director, Andi Hake, and the chamber ambassadors participated. Bill Osterman, owner of the Wishbone Bar & Grill, was handed the large scissors and deftly snipped the ribbon in the informal ceremony outside the grill. The Wishbone is in the basement of the VFW building on Fifth Street.

Pictured above are members of the Chester-East Lincoln third-grade class with their swimming instructor, Mrs. Marge Aper. Aper retired from her teaching position at CEL last year but promised to return and teach the class how to swim.  Aper has been teaching the swimming classes for the last several years in memory of a student of hers who drowned on the last day of school. Read more about the class and check out the photos in the Teaching & Learning section below.
