Friday several dozen
youngsters from schools all around Lincoln were invited to a pizza
party at the Lincoln Park District, courtesy of the Lincoln D.A.R.E.
The annual party serves as a
means of showing kids that they can interact and have a really good
time together without abusing drugs or alcohol.
Pizzas were brought in from
multiple pizzerias in the city, and the kids were also treated to
sodas and cookies.
After eating they had a chance
to go to the indoor tennis court area and play volleyball,
shoot baskets and dance. Many of them chose to dance to music
provided by a live DJ, while others just enjoyed hanging out with
friends.
