                Illinois country grain prices were 
				sharply higher on Monday afternoon. 
				 
              
                Strong cash markets and a wet 
				extended weather forecast supported higher corn and soybean 
				futures on Monday. 
				 
              
                According to the Weekly Crop 
				Progress report from the National Ag Statistics Service, the US 
				corn Crop was 28% planted, compared to the five year average of 
				65%. 
				 
              
                Illinois producers were 17% 
				complete, compared to 64% for the five year average. 
 				In Northern and Western Illinois country grain dealers quoted 
				shelled corn bids were 20 cents higher at 6.79-6.95.  
              
                Soybean bids were 25 to 29 cents 
				higher at 14.80-15.00.
 				In Central Illinois country grain dealers quoted shelled corn 
				bids were 17 to 21 cents higher at 6.77-6.92.  
              
                Soybean bids were 21 to 25 cents 
				higher at 15.01-15.19.
 				In the Southern part of the state, shelled corn bids were mostly 
				20 to 24 cents higher at 6.79-7.04.  
              
                Soybean bids were 28 to 30 cents 
				higher at 15.00-15.22. 
				 
              
                Wheat bids were 9 to 11 cents 
				higher at 6.90-7.18.
