The Perry County Lutheran Chorale set to perform at Zion
					Lutheran Church
The Perry County Lutheran Chorale is on their summer tour
through Illinois and Indiana, with the theme “Sola Fide,”
and will perform at Zion Lutheran Church on Friday, May 31.
Their music will feature a mixture of classical and
contemporary repertoire back to the classics of Bach and
Schubert through today’s latest arrangements of hymn
favorites. Music will include “My Faith Looks Up to Thee,”
“Nun Danket alle Gott,” “Just As I Am,” and “Walk Together,
					Children.”
The Perry County Lutheran Chorale was founded in January
2006 in Perryville, Missouri and is currently its eighth
year. The group is comprised of members from area Lutheran
Churches. The Chorale's director is Perry County native,
Tyson Wunderlich. Tyson brings to the Chorale an array of
musical talent, endless energy and creative ideas. He is a
graduate of Southeast Missouri State University with a
bachelor's degree in piano performance. Tyson received his
master's degree in wind conducting from the New England
Conservatory of Music in Boston. In addition to directing
the Perry County Lutheran Chorale, he serves as Music
Director at Saxony Lutheran High School in Jackson.
The mission of the Chorale is "to act as an extension of the
Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod in proclaiming the good news
and grace of the Gospel of Jesus Christ to all people
through song and word; and to prepare and present classical
and contemporary choral repertoire in our local settings and
					beyond."
The Chorale has released two CDs since their debut. The
first was “From Depths of Darkness;” the second was “A Perry
County Christmas.” These recordings will be available at the
					concert.
The Chorale has traveled to Iowa, Minnesota, Illinois,
Tennessee, and Alabama with the sole purpose of spreading
the Word of God. They have helped in disaster relief efforts
in their home territory as well as beyond. They present
around 10-12 performances per year, ranging from
entertainment to concerts to church services.
The concert will take place Zion Lutheran Church, 205
Pulaski St, Lincoln on Friday, May 31 at 7:00 p.m. You
