                Illinois country grain prices were 
				mostly higher on Wednesday afternoon. 
				 
              
                Corn futures were supported by 
				good export news. 
				 
              
                The USDA announced the sale of 
				360,000 tonnes of US corn to China. 
				 
              
                More significant news has been in 
				the cash markets. 
				 
              
                Since last Friday, the cash 
				soybean basis had started to weaken, first at the river 
				terminals and then the soybean processors. 
				 
              
                Today, the basis continues to drop 
				with losses of 15 to 18 noted. 
 				In Northern and Western Illinois country grain dealers quoted 
				shelled corn bids were 17 to 18 cents higher at 6.87-7.05.
				 
              
                Soybean bids were 5 cents higher 
				at 15.12-15.40.
 				In Central Illinois country grain dealers quoted shelled corn 
				bids were 18 cents higher at 6.86-6.96.  
              
                Soybean bids were mixed at 
				15.52-15.67.
 				In the Southern part of the state, shelled corn bids were 19 to 
				23 cents higher at 6.70-7.04.  
              
                Soybean bids were 5 to 6 cents 
				higher at 15.33-15.79. 
				 
              
                Wheat bids were 10 to 11 
				cents higher at 6.70-7.01.
