In
this Tuesday photo, a Chinese woman and a nurse look at the baby
who was rescued after being trapped in a sewage pipe moments after his birth.
The newborn is shown sleeping in an incubator at a hospital in Pujiang county in east China's
Zhejiang province. He has been released from the hospital into the care
of his grandparents. Local officials and media reports said Thursday that authorities have concluded it was an accident, meaning his unwed
mother is unlikely to be criminally charged.
