3rd-quarter home sales report

[November 01, 2013]  The third quarter of 2013 saw slightly improved home sales compared with the same period in 2012. Members of the Logan County Board of Realtors sold 94 homes in the third quarter of 2013, seven more than the 87 sold during the third quarter of 2012.

The average selling price for homes in the 2013 time period was $86,860, down from $94,204 in 2012. Median prices were $77,250 in 2013, compared with $81,500 in 2012.

The length of time that the average home was on the market also saw improvement, with the average "days on market" in 2013 being 162 days. This was 17 days quicker than the same period in 2012.
