 Sunday
evening the St. John United Church of Christ Youth Group hosted their
12th annual Veteran's Celebration and Recognition Dance.
This year the chairman of the
committee was 19-year old Savannah Conrady. Conrady has been participating in the annual event for the
last nine years, so she herself is a "veteran" at putting on this great
evening for local veterans.
Conrady said the group begins
their planning by hosting a fundraiser at Culver's. They then
decide what they can do to recognize the veterans, based on that and
other fundraisers as well as support from local businesses.
