On Friday afternoon a good-sized crowd gathered in the shade of the Logan County Courthouse for the annual homecoming parade. In spite of the calendar saying it is October, the thermometer exceeded 80 degrees. LDN was out in force for the parade and has a giant collection of photos in the 12 albums below.

Not too long ago, LDN dropped in at the United Way office in Lincoln to find office administrator Marla Blair up to her eyeballs in spectacles. In addition to managing the United Way of Logan County, Blair is also a member of the Lincoln Lions Club. The Lions collect eyeglasses so they can be repurposed for folks who cannot afford the price of a new pair. Blair had volunteered to take this collection to Springfield on behalf of the local chapter.
