Monday
afternoon local State Farm agents Chris Coyne, Rick Hamm and Deron Powell
presented the Lincoln/Logan Chamber of Commerce with a check for $1,000.
The money was from a State Farm grant, with matching funds from local
agents. The funds were designated to help offset the costs of the
tethered balloon rides at this year's Lincoln Art & Balloon Festival.  Read
more about this in the story below.

Police
cars line the gate in the early morning as only essential personnel are allowed
into the closed Washington Navy Yard on Tuesday,
the day after a gunman launched an attack inside, spraying gunfire on office workers in the cafeteria and hallways
at the heavily secured military installation in the heart of the nation's
capital.
