            The Oasis, Logan 
            County's senior citizen center, 501 Pulaski St. in Lincoln, is open 
            weekdays (except holidays) from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. The center also 
            is open on Friday and Sunday nights for table games. Dominic Dalpoas is 
            the executive director. Activities are open to all Logan County 
            senior citizens, regardless of membership. 
            Friends of The Oasis members receive a 
            bimonthly newsletter by mail and reduced rates for classes and

             Extension 
            to sponsor bingo 
            
            The Logan County Extension Unit will 
            sponsor the bingo games that will begin at 1 p.m. Thursday at the 
            senior center. Food prizes! Come join the fun and bring a friend! 
            
            Alzheimer 
            support group to meet 
            
            The Alzheimer support group will 
            meet at 1 p.m. Thursday at The Oasis. No reservation is necessary. 
            The group provides support and information for caregivers and 
            extended family. It is facilitated by a coordinator from Maple Ridge 
            Care Centre. 
            
            Board 
            meeting is open to public 
            
            Oasis board meetings are open to the 
            public, and the May meeting is scheduled to begin at 5 p.m. 
            Thursday. To schedule any agenda items, the board must receive 
            notification in writing on or before the fifth day of the month 
            prior to a meeting. 
            
              
            
            
            Pharmacist will review prescriptions 
            
            Pharmacist Camille Wissmann will be 
            at the senior center from 1 to 3 p.m. Friday to review prescriptions 
            for over-the-counter drugs and herbal supplements seniors are 
            taking. Appointments are available. Call 732-6132. 
            
            Memories 
            class 
            
            The monthly Memories class is 
            scheduled for 3:45 p.m. Friday in the senior center library. No 
            reservation is necessary. Participants should bring their own pen 
            and paper to learn skills needed to preserve memories for families 
            and friends.

            Self Help and Resource Exchange food 
            orders may be picked up between 4 and 5:30 p.m. Friday. June orders 
            also may be placed at that time. The Catholic Diocese of Peoria 
            sponsors the program, which is open to everyone, regardless of 
            faith, age or income. 
            
            Tuesday 
            lunch 
            
            The 11:30 a.m. lunch for May 22 will 
            feature chicken and noodles, carrots, bread and butter, dessert, and 
            a drink for only $3.75; or the cost is $3.25 if you stay and play 
            cards. Ticket purchase deadline is noon Monday. 
            
            Think 
            tank 
            
            Jim Hahs will be the guest speaker 
            for the May 25 think tank session, beginning at 9 a.m. He will 
            present a brief program entitled "Loss Recovery." No reservation is 
            necessary. 
            
            Card 
            winners announced 
            
            Mable Hoagland and Mina Bradburn 
            were weekday winners for pinochle. Weekend pinochle winners were 
            Marjorie Reiners and Helen Cart. The five-in-one winners were Henry 
            Warnisher and Dorothy Oltmanns.
