The Logan County Buildings and Grounds Committee is seeking bids for restoration of the bell and bell stand on the roof of the Logan County Courthouse and clock mechanisms on the dome of the courthouse.

Sealed bids will be received at the Logan County Clerk’s office, room 20, second floor of the Logan County Courthouse 601 Broadway St., in Lincoln, Illinois (P.O. Box 278, Lincoln, IL 62656). Bids must be received by 4:00 pm on Monday, June 5, 2011. All bids will be opened at the Buildings and Grounds Committee meeting in the Logan County Safety Complex at 7:00 pm on Tuesday, June 6, 2011.

The successful bidder will be required to enter into a written contract with Logan County. Firms doing business with Logan County are required to pay prevailing wage to employees. Logan County is a tax-exempt governmental body.

All bids must include:

A physical address, telephone number and website (if the firm has one)

Proof of insurance and a performance bond

Whether any state or federal agency has taken action against the firm

References

Logan County reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive irregularities therein. All bidders must agree that such rejection shall be without liability on the part of Logan County for any penalty brought by a bidder because of such rejections, nor shall the bidders seek any recourse of any kind against the County due to any such rejections and the filling of any bid in response to this invitation shall constitute an agreement of the bidder to these conditions.
